HelpMate's February 22 Update
Welcome to HelpMate’s January update!
This newsletter goes through everything that has been happening with HelpMate and how we’re approaching our mission to alleviate carer burden and empower those living with dementia to retain their independence.
Where we’ve been focusing
We have been working on our strategy moving forward whilst focusing on polishing what we have to make it even better.
The good, the bad, and the ugly
Good:
We incorporated! HelpMate is officially the company name for Ollie Health Pty Ltd 🥳 We have big things planned for the world beyond dementia 🧠
The entire team finally met in person in Melbourne for the first time since we first founded HelpMate last year!
We iterated on our action plan based on user feedback. Specifically, we cut it down to be more succinct and user friendly 🤝
Bad:
The whole team is now working full time which means we have to work harder to maintain momentum at HelpMate without burning out 🧘♀️
Ugly:
Fewer carer chats then last month
Our focus for the next month
We’ve had multiple requests for a US version of our Action Plan, so we will be learning about the US healthcare and social security system to build an action plan for our US users!
We’re still working on building our dream advisory board - stay tuned while we sort out the details 🎯
The team is looking to enter the Peter Farrel Cup, wish us luck! If you’ve competed in the Cup before, let us know your application and pitch tips ✨
Our Asks
If you have any knowledge of the US healthcare system and Medicaid, we would love to speak to you!
This one was a bit of a short one but that’s it for today! Until next time 😁
